Research Fellowships
The Research Fellowship is intended to bring together faculty and graduate students writing dissertations in order to enable scholarly exchanges that cross departmental and disciplinary boundaries. Fellows will participate in a research colloquium that will meet regularly throughout the academic year; each meeting will focus on the project of one of the fellows. In the year following the fellowship period, fellows will present their work to the larger community at UM in a fall symposium. In addition, they will be asked to serve as mentors to colleagues applying for Center or external fellowships.
Faculty Fellows
Up to seven fellows will be selected through an external review. The fellowship provides release for two courses, either to be taken in one semester or over the course of the academic year. Fellows will participate in a research colloquium, chaired by the Center’s Director, for the entire academic year in which they hold the fellowship.
Dissertation Fellows
Three dissertation fellows will participate in the year-long colloquium at the Center along with the faculty fellows. The level of support will match the existing departmental TA stipend.
