About the Center
Zureyka Carsi,
Administrative Assistant
Miami native and University of Miami alumna, Zureyka Carsi graduated in December of 2008 with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Photography. While studying at UM, her various artworks were featured annually at the Student Exhibition Shows from 2006 - 2008. In her senior year, she designed four posters that brought awareness to four areas that affect the world: deforestation, global warming, water pollution, and air pollution. All four of these illustration posters were showcased at the Bachelor of Fine Arts Student Exhibition at the CAS Gallery in the fall of 2008, which brought a record-breaking crowd on opening night.
Along with being a graphic designer, Zureyka is also a passionate photographer. She has studied photography for over five years and has photographed various events, including concerts. She has been published in the Miambiance magazine Vol XVI as well as in the University of Miami 2008 Yearbook for her photographs of Anderson Cooper during the Northern Trust Senior Convocation Lecture.
During her studies at UM as well as after graduation, Zureyka has worked at various locations in graphic design. In her senior year, she interned at a local advertising agency, Alonso & Company, as well as collaborated with the Art Director at Anthony Baradat & Associates. After graduation she became a freelance graphic designer and worked with various printing companies and advertising agencies.
Now employed at the Center for the Humanities, Zureyka is grateful to be back home at the University of Miami once again. She endeavors to contribute her artistic skills to promote the presence of the Center on campus and in the community.
